Yes because it gives you skills that you can use later on. Also because its fun to do. Its something to do that most people enjoy.

I say yes for both. Because for music because you could learn to sing and learn. Yes for art because they could learn to draw because they could do fun activity's like: clay, paint, and draw like fun. We get to paint sometimes but we never get to finish it.

No. Art and Music should be optional, because what if somebody has no talent? That could embarrass them. They should be allowed to have a choice. I mean, sure if you are really hard on them, they could learn, but what if they crack under pressure instead? But also, what if you didn't like the teacher either?

No,because if people don't want to take it they should be able to pick if they want to take those classes. The people who think the class is fun can be allowed to take the class but if they don't want to then they don't have to. Some people may not like the class because of the teacher. They may not make the class fun for the student. They may treat the student with disrespect. If the student feels uncomfortable then the teacher should have to do something to make them feel comfortable.

No because if you don't want to have those jobs it's not going to help you in life. If you want to take those classes you should take them to learn how to do that job but if you don't it won't help

I say that art and music classes should not be required in school. You should have the choice if you want to do it. The school shouldn't make you take the class if you dont want to. What if you dont like art or music, you shouldn't have to do it, it should be our decision.

I love band, but sometimes I wish we didn't have to do art, sometimes art isn't all that fun. We spend most of our time in the back of the room talking about what we are going to do. So, we have very little time to work.

I think that art and music should not be required. I think that because it is something some people like but not all. Kids should be able to pick if they want to be in a class or not. Even though at our school we get our schedeule and we follow that, but we should have a say in it because if we son't like the subject it's just wasting our time because we could be learning about somehting that we like. It is also a waste of the teacher's time because they are the ones who have to deal with us and their the ones responsible for us.

I think that you should be able to work for art and music because teacers give you more time to work on it. Also for srt people can think about what your going to draw. In music i think people like it because they get to play some instroments sometimes.

No it should not be required because if you are not good at it and/or you don't like it, you shouldn't be required. You need to focus on more reliable things like math and language. Music and art can be done after school. Plus, if you don't like the teacher, that doesn't help with being better either. Yes because it gives you a break from math and language. If you are really good at it, you can be moved to a higher class.

I THINK YES, because sometimes people say they are bad at art it takes time to get the hang of it and if you like music well there you got it but kids could have a choice if they want to join or not so it could be FUN and you could learn some stuff. But if we start something fun our teacher might not want to finish it so we should get to pick what to do.

NO because, art and music should be after or before school activities. Because some poelple doen't like art or music and if they doen't want to be in art or music they could be in a study hall instead.

i think that it should be opsional. because if you dont like to draw then you should be able to have a study hall instead. in music i also think it sould be opsional because you might not want to play a instrument.

No, because not all kids like music or art. It should not be required that kids have to take one of those classes. It should be optional that they can take it or not. Because if kids are getting bad grades and there in an arts or music program that is taking away time they could be spending on the subjects that they are failing. Kids that don’t like art or music could spend more time on the stuff they do like for instanced math or science.

I think that it should be optional so kids,if they want can become singers\artists. Then we could use the extra time to work on homework, sports, ect.

I beleive Art and Music should be required in school. They allow children to better understand different art styles and to appreciate composers throughout history. Both art and music allow you to have fun, achive goals and be very creative in your own way.
